The University of Luxembourg Competence Centre was established on March 9, 2018 and operates under the close supervision of the University of Luxembourg in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
The Competence Centre’s mission is to support the development of the main strategic axes in the Luxembourg economy by creating and managing university-level continuing and professional education programmes. The Competence Centre is recognised for its ability to propose innovative training solutions that meet the educational objectives and the constraints and requirements of its various target audiences.
Its close collaboration with the University of Luxembourg, partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as interactions with the professional world, enable it to:
- manage all or part of the University’s academic and professional continuing education programmes;
- develop and manage academic certificates and continuing education courses, based on research carried out in the relevant fields and meeting the University’s quality requirements, as well as two Bachelor’s degrees in collaboration with the faculties;
- develop MOOCs and other large-scale training courses;
- contribute to the ongoing training of the University’s internal staff;
- work on projects and studies related to the analysis and development of skills and the implementation of training plans for professionals.
The Competence Centre is looking for a:
Training Project Coordinator
Permanent full-time contract
to join its team and support the development of its activities.
Your ideal profile:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) and/or proven successful prior experience of at least five years in training project management.
- Demonstrated ability to methodically plan, execute and control medium-sized to strategic training programmes and projects (scope, budget and planning, delivery, quality and reporting).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage complex team projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English (mandatory), comfortable with conducting steering committees and webinars.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to adapt your communication to your interlocutor. Ability to create and develop lasting relationships with project partners and stakeholders.
- Reliable and autonomous while being a team player.
- Creative, open-minded, and flexible with a genuine client orientation and constant attention to quality.
Without being mandatory, the following will be considered additional assets:
- A strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles;
- Any proficiency in digital learning authoring tools and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS);
- Good knowledge of the Luxembourgish market and of the strategic development axes of the ICT sector in Luxembourg (i.e. Industry 4.0/5.0, AI, Machine learning, IoT, etc.);
- Experience with European Union funding programmes;
- Practice of any other languages than French and English.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Conducting high-quality national or European projects of all sizes and formats across a broad range of topics, including upskilling or reskilling strategic projects and/or Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
- Managing academic-level training paths with experts, partners, and professors at the University of Luxembourg.
- Managing budgets and plannings efficiently from the initial needs collection to their translation into pedagogical and technical specifications, producing responses to national and international requests for tenders (RFTs), contributing to the preparation of project deliverables and providing accurate project reporting.
- Participating in skills needs analyses in view of the digital transformation of manufacturing and industrial companies (SMEs) and organising training and skills development paths in the framework of a consortium funded by the European Commission.
- Establishing contacts and communicating with stakeholders and reporting to the Competence Centre’s management about on-going programmes and projects.
- Coordinating, motivating, and guiding project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
- Performing international benchmarks, proposing new ideas, learning methods, and activities.
- Taking part in external events to ensure the Competence Centre’s promotion and development.
